Too many toys?

I scored some amazing bargains in the charity shops of Crouch End for Edward.

A lovely wooden Noah’s Ark with all the figures for £4. It’s made by BigJigs and sells for £29.99 so I’m very pleased.

A wooden shape sorter. Edward keeps taking the lid off so he’s not quite using it the way you’re meant to but it’s lovely watching him play with it. I bought it for £1.

Finally we picked up some vintage Beatrix Potter books for our collection, 50p each.

My husband may have *cough* slightly told me off for buying Edward more toys so we will be taking them (and leaving them) at the grandparents this week.

This week I’m linking up with Flea Market Finds, Magpie Monday and Thrift Share Monday

  1. Aaron’s got about a third or less, of the toys Edward has. But I feel bad about that. But until now, he was happy with what he had. Now he’s getting more adventurous AND getting closer to a year, I’ll get him some more, that’ll help with his development xxx

  2. Oh, Beatrix Potter books – lovely! In the summer we brought mine back to Sweden from my mum’s place. My aunt had given me one every Christmas and birthday until I was about five years old. We’ve put them on the shelf, waiting for Baby O to be old enough for them. I cannot wait to read the stories to him and show him the beautiful illustrations.

  3. I love that Noah’s Ark. It looks great just to display but I bet it’s got years of play in it.

    Thanks for linking up x

  4. My son always hankered after a Noah’s Ark, I think I should have bought him one as I think the lack of one has created an urge for him to sail the seven seas when he’s grown up plus and unhealthy obsession with pirates, ships in bottles and house boats!!!!

  5. Ooohhhh! Lovely things! Only in Crouch End!! I used to live there in another life, ahh…such memories. I worked at Mountview school and lived right by the Kings Head. Banners breakfast on a sunday morning…..Ahhh…you’ve got me reminiscing now!
Love the Noahs Ark and such a soft spot for Beatrix Potter! x
