Monday happy list – week 86

One of my favourite things about blogging is the chance to sit down and look through my pictures, seeing what we’ve been up to and writing about them. It’s such a cliche but true – the days are long but the years are short.

Looking through photos of the past week there are lots of pictures from school as I was involved in the annual School Fair at the weekend. The day went really well, everyone seemed to have fun and hopefully we raised lots of money for school.

The second biggest number of photos was crafty photos as we seemed to spend a lot of time crafting last week. I shared a few things here, such as our gingerbread biscuit bouquet and homemade weather station. Spring time crafting is so colourful and we’ve been planning a few new things for our fairy garden and mud kitchen.

Yesterday we spent the day at the Shuttleworth Collection for the May Fly. My husband and son had been working on their planes for months and we had a lovely day watching them fly them. We bought our 4 year old her first plane too and she had so much fun running around to go and get it when it had flown away from her.

I managed to  squeeze in some adult crafting time! I signed up to a sewing swap and the deadline was this weekend. It was a great excuse to buy new fabrics and sew. I really enjoyed making something for someone else and I’m looking forward to swapping with my partner.

The children both had tea parties at school to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday last week. They dressed up in red, white and blue, made crowns and my 6 year old made this wonderful invitation. We have a few more ‘Royal’ crafts to show soon!

What a busy week, I’m excited to see what the new week brings!

  1. The kid’s tea parties sound so adorable- wish we could do more things like this now grown up but I’m not sure drawing a moustache on myself would go down that well in my stuffy corporate office!
