After a busy weekend it’s so lovely to sit and take stock of the last week.My 5 Monday happy things post is my favourite post of the week.
I framed the horoscope papercut I made at the Handmade Fair in a simple glass frame which looks great but was impossible to photograph! It currently has pride of place on my mantelpiece although my children are itching to cover it in Halloween decorations.
I enjoyed a delicious Gingerbread cupcake from our local farmers market
My son discovered a pad of sticky notes and quickly used up a whole pad. I did like the sweet note he left for me to find on the fridge.
My copy of Tis the Season to be Felty finally arrived, there’s a sticky note on almost every project page as I want to make so many of the projects, especially the gingerbread village and gingerbread house tissue box cover!
My 3 year old and I had a lovely day in the West End. We visited the Joseph Cornell Wanderlust exhibition at the Royal Academy, had a delicious lunch whilst people watching and admired everything in the huge Cath Kidston on Piccadilly. We both liked the courtyard installation called Tree by Ai Weiwei which was funded by a Kickstarter campaign.
That paper cut looks great, I’ve always wanted to have a go at something like that.
What you can’t see is that I only cut about a quarter of the shapes out, definitely a work in progress 🙂
