Monday happy things

Posted on May 25, 2015December 31, 2017 by jenny

Hello and welcome to my special Bank Holiday edition of Monday happy things!

We’re having a special Day Out today and have packed our picnic. Have you tasted Tracker bars lately? We were sent a rucksack full to fuel our Bank Holiday adventures and I haven’t been able to stop eating them. There are three flavours but my favourite has to be the White Chocolate Chip ones. We’ve added a few to our lunch bags.

We’ve been having fun with these gorgeous ABC and 123 flash cards from QED Publishing. Little Sis is starting nursery in September and these have been great for helping her familiarise herself with numbers and letters. We’ve all been learning some new animals with them so it just goes to prove you’re never too old to learn! The illustrations are beautiful too and I’m really tempted to frame a couple when they’re no longer needed.

I love the sound of subscription boxes and have been trying out a Paperhaul box from Crafty Creatives. #paperhaul is a box that brings you a surprise collection of high quality design-led postcards, tags, stickers, craft papers and more, all lovingly assembled into a different theme each month.

The UK’s first flagship Nickelodeon Store is opening at No. 1 Leicester Square, London this Friday and we are really excited to be attending the opening. The new multi-level store will include state-of-the-art multimedia and interactive elements to create a showcase for a broad range of products based on Nickelodeon’s properties, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer. I’ll be taking part in a Twitter Frenzy on Friday from 11-12.30 and you can join in, just follow the #NickStore

Most importantly, this week my daughter nailed toilet training! I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to throw away the Pull Ups after so many long years of babies and toddlers in nappies. No more! As if mastering toilet training wasn’t enough, Little Miss Independent has been riding her bike on her own too.

I love Tracker bars, they are often featured on my breakfast menu or in my lunch boxes at work.

Haven’t had a tracker bar in years. And I’m guessing echidna must be another name for the duck billed platypus. And hurrah for your daughter’s achievements
