Win a copy of the DIY Wedding Manual

The DIY Wedding Manual by Laura Strutt is “packed with everything you need to know and creative ideas to help you achieve your dream wedding – from veils and cakes, to flowers and invitations”. The step-by-step guide to creating your perfect wedding day on a budget and I really wish this book had been around when we planned our wedding back in 2008.

Many savvy couples are getting creative when it comes to planning and arranging their wedding, in order to make their ‘big day’ unique, meaningful and affordable. Packed with creative suggestions, step-by-step projects, money-saving hints and inspirations for the special day, the DIY Wedding Manual will guide you through the process of planning and preparing your perfect wedding day, on a budget. The 10 chapters cover Planning and preparing, Spreading the word, the Venue, Bride & Bridesmaids, Groom & Groomsmen, the Ceremony, the Reception and Finishing Touches.

The book is full of great ideas and includes loads of ideas for really putting your own stamp on your wedding. We chose a vintage seaside theme for our wedding and had loads of fun making the place cards, table plan, favours and gift bags for the children. The DIY Wedding Manual is well laid out and each idea tells you how long they take to make as well as the cost, lists the equipment needed and gives you step by step instructions to create them. I love the idea of making your own wedding dress hanger and the heat-etched dolly pegs for place names are really cute.
