Five Happy Things {Week 245}

I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.

Five Happy Things {Week 245}

Little Sis met her Year 5 buddy and found out which House she will be in come September. I am so excited about her starting at Junior School although a bit sad about her finishing her time at Infant School too. I attended a Transition meeting for her new school, and although her brother already attends the school, felt a little nervous about it all too. She still has 5 weeks at her old school and over the weekend we bought her clothes some smart clothes for her Leavers Assembly.

We are counting down the says until the release of Toy Story 4 and watched Toy Story and Toy Story 2 over the weekend. I’m hoping we can squeeze in Toy Story 3 this week so we can go and watch Toy Story 4 on Friday. I set up a lost toy treasure hunt for the children with some Toy Story 4 toys we were gifted from shopDisney which was fun.

On Friday night my daughter attended a Beaver sleepover at our local Scout hut. She was so excited and luckily it didn’t rain that evening. She had so much fun sharing a tent with a friend from school. I’m not sure our family is a camping family but I was proud of her for going. Hopefully she will get a few new badges to add to her collection.

Over the weekend we had an epic baking session and made some Lego gingerbread biscuits. We found the cookie cutters in the Lego Store and bought some coloured icing to decorate them with. The kids went a little crazy with the icing but had so much fun.

We went to the Rose and Crown in Rickmansworth for a Father’s Day meal and spent some time at the Duck Pond Market in Ruislip. We bought lots of delicious food including some turmeric and ginger humous which was just delicious.

The weekend has just flown by. Have a great week everyone.

    That sounds like a wonderful week last week. Big question though did she enjoy the Beavers sleep over? My youngest has her first Cub Camp next week she didn’t do any sleepovers with Brownies or Rainbows so this is a huge step for her.

    I love reading positive posts like this. I also can’t wait to see Toy Story 4! Me and my sister are planning to take my niece and nephew (aged 9 and 5). They haven’t seen the original Toy Story movies yet, but we’re going to go as soon as they have.
