Five Happy Things (Week 232)

Hope you had a great weekend. I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.

Five Happy Things (Week 232)

Did you read my post about the Cricut Maker? I’m really excited to have a Cricut machine as I love crafting for my home. My first project was making a personalised vinyl sticker for my Cricut Maker. I’ll be sharing a full tutorial for the project soon and have lots more tutorials planned.

On Friday evening I took part in my daughter’s school PTA quiz. It’s the second quiz I’ve taken part in over the last few weeks. It was a fun evening with the mums from school, although slightly strange to be sitting in the school hall with no children around. We finished a respectable 2nd place with was good.

Over the weekend we went to a special Poopsie Slime Surprise VIP event. We were given so many toys that the children spent the afternoon making slime. It was pretty messy with glitter and sprinkles everywhere. I’m giving away a bundle consisting of one Poopsie Poop Pack, one Poopsie Sparkly Critters and one Poopsie Cutie Tooties Surprise. Pop on over to this post to find out more and enter.

For the past few weeks I’ve been joining in with the Saturday Night Craftalong hashtag over on Instagram. It’s helping me focus on my stash pile! The first make I’ve finished is my moda matchbox quilt. I have quite a few projects I’d like to get on and make and my fingers are crossed that joining in with this every week will spur me on. My little quilt took me a week to make as last week felt super busy. Hopefully I will make more time for crafting and tackle some bigger projects.

Today my son turns 9! We gave him a Lego-themed cake yesterday and took him out for a delicious birthday lunch. We’re going bowling next weekend so he’ll be enjoying his birthday celebrations for over a week.

Have a great week everyone.
