Monday mindfulness – 5 Happy Things

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I was pretty happy to see the weekend after going back to work. Each week I start off by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.

Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things

Last week we were really lucky to be sent some wonderful toys to review. My children love making unboxing videos and we had fun unboxing a selection of SuperZings Series 2 as well as the Awesome Academy from the Our Generation range. You can take a look at our reviews and unboxing videos too.

The weekend was a bit of a wash out weather wise. Most of our plans got shelved due to the weather so we took ourselves off to Westfield London for lunch at Five Guys and some shopping. I really wanted some new shoes and clothes for work but couldn’t find anything so perhaps I’ll be looking online this week instead.

The kids were happy to have some time at home and enjoyed playing with toys, baking brownies and having a bit of a sort out. My son has a mid-sleeper which he uses as a dumping ground so it felt good to tidy up and take lots of unwanted toys to the charity shop.

The rain stopped long enough for us to take our RC car out to the woods yesterday. The kids were happy running through the woods and we all enjoyed the fresh air.

I found some time to finish off the Summer Craftpod subscription box which I love receiving. I also started a new paper cutting template, which I’m hoping will be good enough to give as a gift to someone later this year. I haven’t crafted much later but it felt so good to have some time to myself (even if I was batting off the kids with one arm!).
