Yesterday we had an amazing trip to Blakeney Point to see the seals! It was brilliant but very cold considering the time of year. Our boat trip lasted an hour, after we were back on dry land we headed to The Anchor Inn at Morston to warm up with a delicious hot lunch. The weather wasn’t great so we were happy to come back to our cottage, light the log burner, toast marshmallows and watch Ferdinand. We didn’t manage to watch it at the cinema but the trailer looked really funny, definitely a family film we would watch.
Stop and smell the flowers with the most love-a-bull family animation of the year when Ferdinand cattle-pults its way to Digital Download on 10th April and 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on 16th April.
From Blue Sky Studios and director Carlos Sadanha (Rio, Ice Age), Ferdinand, voiced by John Cena (Trainwreck, Daddy’s Home) tells the story of a giant bull with a bigger heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies together a misfit team for the ultimate adventure and proves you can’t judge a bull
by its cover.
Inspired by the beloved book “The Story of Ferdinand,” Ferdinand is a heartwarming family comedy adventure with an all-star cast that includes John Cena, Kate McKinnon, David Tennant, Sally Philips, Gina Rodriguez, Anthony Anderson and many more.
I had never heard of Ferdinand the book but I can see why it was made into a film. It’s a great story and kept us occupied all afternoon, running to about 100 minutes.
Special features include featurettes: “Ferdinand’s Guide to Healthy Living” with John Cena, “A Goat’s Guide to Life”, “Ferdinand’s Team Supreme”, “Spain Through Ferdinand’s Eyes”, “Confessions of a Bull-loving Horse”, “Creating the Land of Ferdinand”, “Anatomy of a Scene: The Bull Run”, “Learn to Dance with Ferdinand”, “Ferdinand’s Do-It-Yourself Flower Garden”, “Creating a Remarka-Bull Song”, “Home” Music Video and the Art of Ferdinand Gallery.
Ferdinand is available on Digital Download on 10th April and 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on 16th April.
