10 Star Wars Christmas decorations to make

I love Christmas and I love Star Wars too. We’ve booked tickets to go and see Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi this weekend. My 6-year-old asked if anything was showing at the cinema but I said no! I really want to watch the new film as much as my husband and son.

We’ve had so much fun with Star Wars crafts at home that I thought it would be fun to share a round-up of my favourites.

Easy BB-8 droid decoration from the gingerbread house

This year we have a red and white theme with our Christmas decorations. I love these Imperial Guards and think they would fit perfectly with our theme!

Fun Star Wars Hans Solo Frozen in Carbonite soap from the gingerbread house. This would make a great handmade gift for Star Wars fans but also encourage kids to wash their hands this Christmas!

Star Wars bead character decorations. We’ve had loads of fun making our favourite Star Wars characters from Aquabeads. They make the perfect decoration – just hang with thread.

My 7 year old loves R2-D2 so this Duck Tape R2-D2 craft would be super cute to make – and maybe hold some yummy chocolate coins!

DIY Stars Wars wreath. I made this for Star Wars Day but it’s also up now at Christmas! I used a collection of duplicate or broken Star Wars figures, and tied them to a wreath with nylon thread.

Star Wars felt characters. Last Christmas my husband received a wonderful Star Wars felt kit. The characters are really sweet and make the perfect tree decorations.

Star Wars paper snowflakes. I came across these free Star Wars paper snowflakes a few years ago. I found them a little tricky to cut but they are the perfect Star Wars decoration! He has some cute Porg snowflakes inspired by The Last Jedi and fingers crossed the designer will soon add a 2017 section to his site.

Star Wars porg paper craft

It’s not Christmas without some gingerbread biscuits. Last year I loved making my Jyn Erso Death Star cookies. I’m hoping to be inspired to make something new this year when I’ve seen the new film.

Last year we tried making a papier mache Death Star which was super messy but fun. These would be so great scaled down a little and hung on a tree.
