homestyle Monday Happy List

Monday happy things {Week 157}

Where did the weekend go? It’s seems I write my favourite things post a lot, or perhaps it’s just the only chance I get to sit down and reflect on the previous 7 days. Now we’re officially in October I feel like we can start celebrating Halloween. My kids are really excited to start crafting and decorating.

Monday happy things {Week 157}

It’s been a busy week for me and a lot of it has revolved around eating. So much so that I’ve fallen off the Slimming World wagon completely! There have been delicious lunches out to celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary – the White Bear in Ruislip is amazing – as well as my first hot chocolate of the season. I also made a delicious Victoria Sponge cake as I’ve really missed baking and eating cake!

Last week I noticed that I finally hit 3000 followers on Instagram. I find Instagram quite a difficult network and it seems to be the slowest network for me. I often feel that I can’t post the things I want to and it has to be an(other) extension of my blog, which sucks the fun out of it all.

Over the weekend we were loaned a LandRover Discovery Sport which might just be the most random thing I’ve ever received through blogging. On Saturday we went to the Natural History Museum and yesterday visited Hughenden Manor, my favourite National Trust property. I’m going to write a blog post about our adventures this week.

I’ve been working on something quite big (all will be revealed soon) and I have to admit it’s been slightly stressful. I’m a terrible procrastinator and I’ve been picking up my crafts instead of doing the work. I’ve almost finished the Autumn Craftpod box, I cut a sloth papercut and started theĀ Ivy and the Inky Butterfly colouring book. It’s actually been amazing having some crafting time and clearly something I need to make more time for.

I’m going to leave it at just 4 things for my weekly Happy List. I’m sure there were lots of good things but my mind is already racing to this week and my very long to do list. The sun is shining, the washing is blowing in the wind and I hope you have a great week.
