Now the weather has taken a decidedly chillier tone I have to admit that the doors and windows are closed, the heating is on and the winter duvet is out! I love Autumn as you know, I can’t stop writing about it! I love an Autumn clean as much as I love Spring cleaning and it’s a good time to check all your appliances are safe for the winter months.

In our house we have a gas boiler and hob. They are used all year round but some households will have gas heating and it’s so important to make sure that these appliances are in good condition, especially if they haven’t been used during the summer. One of my friends recently suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning through a faulty gas appliance and the side effects can be life threatening. Carbon monoxide is known as the silent killer because it doesn’t smell so it’s really important that you follow some simple steps to ensure your appliances are safe. Which is why today I wanted to share 5 top tips for keeping your family gas safe – important during Gas Safety Week and all year round.

Gas safety is really important not just if kids are around but for the entire family. I always keep the switch of the stove off when it’s not in use. These are indeed some great tips!
