Our Sylvanian Families Busy Box

Our Sylvanian Families Busy Box

Posted on August 24, 2017August 23, 2017 by jenny

A while ago we made our Lego mad son a Lego Busy Box to keep him busy on car journeys. It’s been really successful and gone everywhere with us, but his younger sister wanted her own version. Now she’s not quite as obsessed with Lego as he is so instead we made her a Sylvanian Families Busy Box.

It’s no secret that my 5 year old is Sylvanian Families obsessed. She spends all her pocket money on the toys and all her time making little videos of her playsets. She really loves the babies so her Sylvanian Families Busy Box is all about Sylvanian babies.

She’s trying to collect all the baby sets, and somedays it feels like she’s succeeded.

How to make a Sylvanian Families Busy Box

We used an Ikea Glis transparent box with lid which was a bargain £4. It has 5 compartments which was perfect for a Busy Box.

In one compartment she put all her little accessories, SF babies went into two compartments, and the largest compartments were used for furniture, beds and toys.

My daughter loved filling it up with her favourites bits and pieces.

Then she decorated the box with Sylvanian Families stickers. I found it impossible to find any stickers but luckily we were sent some ages ago, along with a notebook and stencil, so we used those.

Everything fitted perfectly. I’m hoping this will mean she won’t insist on buying any more 🙂

Then we packed the Sylvanian Families Busy Box into her rucksack for our long car journey. I can’t wait to see how it survives! Hopefully this will also make great storage for those smaller bits and pieces, and keep everything tidy for when she wants to play with them at home too.

What a clever idea! It must be quite good for you to have her favourite toys all handy in one container ready to move around or take with her when ever she may want to play with them.

That’s a great idea to carry around the toys! I’m sure I’m going to need something like that when my daughter grows up a bit.

I love this! I always just end up throwing random things together for long car journeys but it would be so useful to have a box prepared ready. We’ve not hit the sylvanian family obsession yet.

This is a great idea – I have one ready for Pickle for our car journey tomorrow. It is Thomas Minis as he is obsessed with them right now! Kaz x

This is a brilliant idea! It would be useful for storing so many different bits and pieces. Perfect for keeping things tidy (and not lost!) and for travelling too.

This storage container is absolutely brilliant for keeping toys organised and it would be great for adults too! xxx
