My 5 blogging essentials

My 5 blogging essentials

Posted on August 14, 2017January 2, 2019 by jenny

I think you all know that I love technology. I have an iPhone, iPad Mini, MacBook Air and Olympus camera. These come everywhere with me, which makes for a very heavy bag 🙂 If I find a product or brand I like then I tend to stay with them, I’m pretty loyal – or dislike change – you decide!

I’ve had an iPhone since 2007 and I couldn’t imagine life without it. I know that sounds strange but my phone holds everything I need – my calendar, camera, phone, mail, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, need I go on? It really helps me stay on top of parenting, relationships and blogging. I’ve had my iPhone 6 Plus for a while now but it’s finally time to upgrade. I’ve been researching what’s around as there is just so much choice. I found a really helpful site called mobile phone checker which lets you compare the vast majority of tariffs available in the marketplace. The site is updated twice a day using data from 20 of the leading retailers to ensure you find the perfect deal. It also lets you search by the kind of contract you want, so PAYG or Sim-Free handset, and by how much you use your phone.

After my phone I love my laptop. It’s great for blogging at home and whilst we’re away as it’s super slim. I’ve been using a MacBook Air for a while althoughI’ve filled it with my photos and videos so perhaps I need something bigger.

Last summer my husband bought me an Olympus PEN camera and I think it’s really noticeable when I use it for blog photos. It takes amazing photos and videos, the only downside is the lack of a flash.

An iPad is really useful due to it’s size. I have to be honest though as my children usually take my iPad so they can watch YouTube!

My final blogging essential would be our selfie stick. We received one in our welcome pack from Netflix when we joined the Netflix Stream Team recently. My 7 year old absolutely loves using it and has started his own YouTube channel for all the videos he keeps taking. I can’t wait until he can start editing his own videos.

I love Apple products. They sync so well and they always work. I’m on the 6Plus, and would like to upgrade too, but I’ve heard an iPhone 8 is coming out so might just have to hold out a little longer

I still don’t have a slefie stick and have been thinking of getting one since a while but I just keep it back thinking if I should get it or not. They’re available at Poundland as well, but not sure about the quality!
