Super Hero fun with Trunkaroo {creativity by post}

Trunkaroo creativity by post box

I’ve been a fan of subscription boxes since I first discovered them. I like receiving happy post and my children now love them as much as I do. Thankfully there are some brilliant subscription boxes for kids and we were delighted to try out Trunkaroo – creativity by post.

Trunkaroo is a monthly art and science subscription box for kids. Each month they deliver delightful and enriching hands-on activities, science experiments, art projects and DIY games right to your door! Take a look at our unboxing video to see what my 7 year old thought:

The theme for the trunk was My Super World which was just perfect. The Art and Science projects included:

Project 1 – My Super Cape

Project 2 – Super Cool Cuffs

There was a Bonus Discoveroo magazine which included Nature’s Super Heroes, a Super Structures Experiment, Super Food Doodles, Lightning Matching Pairs, Super Villain Maker and Super Hero Headquarters. I read this through with my 7 year old (even though he was more than capable of reading it on his own). It’s a great addition to the activities.

There was an Extra make – a scratch art super hero mask

My 7 year old made the super hero mask first. He enjoyed making his own design and thinking about his super hero traits. Then he made the cape and cuffs. The activities were straightforward enough that we would read through them but he could make them independently if he wished.

We both enjoyed the Trunkaroo. It is aimed at ages 3-8 and I felt there was plenty to make and learn. There is a strong focus on making STEAM (Science, Technology Engineering, Art and Maths) and I liked the fact this is a great way to have fun whilst learning. Each box is gender neutral and there is a different theme each month. These would make a great gift or an extra little something to take away on holiday. A monthly subscription costs £19.99 with discounts for longer subscriptions.

    This looks like a really fun subscription box. My little nephew would love something like this!
