Last year we reviewed some of the new DC Super Hero Girls figures from the DC Super Hero Girls animation. They’ve been a big hit with my daughter so we were excited to see the first three books in a super exciting super hero franchise, launched by the new ‘golden trio’ – Puffin Books, Warner Bros. and DC Comics!
Puffin have launched three fun new books based on the DC Super Hero Girls, the all-new child friendly comic universe from DC, in which the world’s most iconic female Super Heroes inspire and empower children of all ages, genders and levels of geekiness!
Wonder Woman at Super Hero High
Wonder Woman at Super Hero High is the first chapter book in an upcoming middle-grade fiction series written by American comic author Lisa Yee. This aspirational title is packed with action and adventure, as Wonder Woman tries to figure her way around her first day at Super Hero High – negotiating Save the Day alarms, a roommate who addicted to social media (Harley Quinn), not to mention the occasional crush. The book is packed with familiar characters including Bumble Bee and plant expert Poison Ivy. She discovers along the way that whilst ANYONE can be a Super Hero, it certainly doesn’t make school life any easier!
DC Super Hero Scribble Book
Joining Wonder Woman is a specially formatted DC Super Hero Scribble Book, creatively designed to help children and tweens find their very own inner superhero. Budding batwomen, super women (and super men!) are given the chance to design their own unique super hero costume, discover their secret alias and plan, puzzle and plot their way out of numerous tricky situations!
DC Super Hero Power Up!
Keeping with the crafty theme, DC Super Hero Power Up! is a fun sticker activity book aimed at an even younger audience, giving smaller wannabe – superheroes a fantastic introduction to this brand new verse.
