FurReal Friends Torch My Blazing Dragon

We were recently sent FurReal Friends Torch My Blazing Dragon to review. My daughter loves dragons so I thought she would enjoy this toy. He’s a new animatronic baby dragon from Hasbro that breathes flame-coloured mist, toasts marshmallows and responds with 50+ sound and motion combinations. My children love interactive toys so we couldn’t wait to put Torch through the toy test.

This baby dragon looks great and my daughter was excited by the large box he comes in. He is also a lovely baby blue for which he got bonus points, blue being my daughter’s favourite colour.

I took Torch out of the box, along with his colour-change treat, water vial, 2 extra filters, and instructions. It is quite easy to work although it does require 4 “C” alkaline batteries, which are not included. It took me a few days to get these but my daughter was quite happy looking after her baby dragon without understanding how he worked.

As soon as the batteries were put in Torch came to life! This playful little guy is just learning the tricks of the dragon trade, so he doesn’t really breathe flame, but he does breathe flame-coloured mist. Hold the colour-change treat to his mouth and watch how it changes when he breathes mist onto it. When does he breathe such colourful mist? Whenever someone touches his charm, pets his nose, or… sometimes whenever he feels like it!
