Monday Happy List

Monday Happy List – week 113

The days are flying by and we’ve had another busy week.

My husband took a day off work so we could paint the living room. This is the largest room in the house and one which badly needed painting. It’s a massive living/dining room and we decided to paint the whole room white. We ordered a new piece of furniture and I am so excited about finishing this room! Pics soon.

On Saturday we drove down to Portsmouth for the day to meet my sister for lunch. We don’t see each other nearly enough and we had a delicious meal and look around the shops. When I left my children for a moment I came back to see they had been trying out lipsticks – that’s the last time I leave them with their cousin!

We’ve made a start on our handmade Christmas gifts. I’m really encouraging the children to think about what they can give as they’ve become obsessed with what they want. I want them to be excited about Christmas but also think about others. I managed to wrap everything for our Book Advent and get everything ready for the 1st December.

I went into my children’s school again to help out which I really enjoyed. I’ve been listening to the Reception children read which is fun. They are all at different stages but it’s nice to use my spare time for something good.

I’ve been busy planning my daughter’s birthday party which is next weekend. It has a Paw Patrol theme and I still have party bags to make and cupcakes to bake and decorate. I think it’s going to be a busy week!

Have a great week everyone.

What a fab post! I loved it when my mum helped out at school when I was a kid. How fun testing out lippys!
