The sun is shining and my children are back at nursery and school. It’s time to think about St David’s Day which has sparked lots of creativity in our house. Here’s a round up of 10 St David’s Day crafts, including some of ours.
10 St David’s Day crafts
How about starting the day with a St David’s Day breakfast, I love this one which includes Welsh dragony bacon and egg.
You can’t celebrate St David’s Day without a batch of Welsh cakes too. They are simple to make and taste divine, especially when warm.
It’s lovely to bring some colour into the house. As well as colourful daffodils, did you know that leeks are a well known Welsh symbol? I found this fun craft for kitchen paper leeks which I know my children would love to make and then use in their play kitchen.
How about making some Welsh ladies bunting to decorate the house? I found two versions, one with cheery faces and googly eyes and more Welsh ladies bunting based on sweet Russian nesting dolls, both would brighten up a room. I also like this fun St David’s Day bunting printable.
I haven’t forgotten the children and have found some lovely St David’s Day crafts to keep children busy:
Welsh love spoon craft
Welsh paper cup hat craft
Welsh lady peg dolls
Saint David cardboard tube monk craft
I hope you find something to keep you busy before St David’s Day.
