pregnancy week 35

High blood pressure

I had my 36 week appointment with the midwife today. I wasn’t anticipating any problems and was looking forward to discussing my swollen feet which are giving me so much grief. All my tests results have come back completely normal, even the PLG and the extra growth scan I had in week 30. Today my blood pressure was really high and I’m booked in for another growth scan. The baby’s spine is also aligned with my spine so I have to do an exercise which involves getting down on all fours five times a day to try and turn it.

I’m hoping my blood pressure will go down when I finish work this coming week.  My ankles should also go down when I’m able to relax and put my feet up. Although my midwife said I can’t slouch on the sofa and need to sit on a hard chair to encourage the baby to get into the right position. Aaargh, I thought I would be able to relax and enjoy the weeks before the baby comes!

My wife is about 30 weeks and the baby is breech, so she’s doing some crazy exercises too!

Hope everything works out for you. You might be interested in my blog if you want to know how your partner’s feeling during pregnancy!

    All the best,
