2-Way games from The Happy Puzzle Company

{AD} 2-Way Cards and 2-Way Words from The Happy Puzzle Company

Posted on June 28, 2023June 28, 2023 by jenny

We are a family that loves to play games together so are delighted to team up with The Happy Puzzle Company who kindly gifted us a selection of their new games to try.

The Happy Puzzle Company offers a fantastic range of over 300 award-winning puzzles, games, challenges and puzzle books to both families and schools. We received 2-Way Cards and 2-Way Words to try, both games can be played by 2 players and are great for ages 8 and over. Find out more about these two puzzle games and look out for my unique discount code for my readers to get 15% off all products on The Happy Puzzle Company website.

2-Way Cards

The rules in this game are easy to pick up. One player takes the blue side and one the green. Starting with five card tiles, on your turn, place two cards from your hand anywhere into the grid, replenish your hand and trade your least useful tiles. On the reverse side of the tile, your opponent sees a different card in their colour. Be the first player to create and remove from the grid a sequence of three, four, five and six cards to win.

2-Way Cards

Score points according to the type of sequence. Sequences can consist of cards of the same or a different suit in an ascending or descending sequence, or cards of the same number, suit or picture, which can be formed forwards, backwards, up, down or diagonally. Whilst achieving all of these, remember to sabotage your opponent’s plan!

2-Way Cards

My 11 year old really enjoyed this game. The rules are easy to remember and she loved trying to make her own sequences whilst stopping me from using ‘her’ tiles. A game takes around 15 minutes, which makes this a fun, fast-paced game.

2-Way Words

The rules for 2-Way Words are similar to 2-Way Cards. One player takes the red side and one the blue. Starting with a hand of just five letter blocks, on your turn you push the letter of your choice anywhere into the grid. On the reverse side of the block, your opponent sees a different letter in their colour. Be the first player to create and remove a three, four, five and six-letter word from the grid to win.

2 way words game

Words can be formed forwards, backwards, up, down or diagonally. At the same time, try and work out what your opponent is doing and scupper their plans!

2-Way Words game

I love word games so enjoyed playing this game. The tiles can be a little difficult to place on the grid quickly but this is a fast-paced game, taking about 10-15 minutes to play. Sometimes my daughter can finds words a little tricky so I like that this is fun and educational too.

2-Way Cards and 2-Way Words are both priced £22.99 and available from happypuzzle.co.uk

Discount code

If you like the sound of these games then I have a unique discount code GINGER15 to share which gets you 15% off all products at happypuzzle.co.uk (please note t&c’s apply – these codes cannot be used in conjunction with any email marketing codes or other codes running).

Never heard of these games. The second one reminds me somewhat of the Scrabble game we used to play when I was a kid
