Easy heart shaped wooden pegs

Easy heart shaped wooden pegs

Posted on April 8, 2016September 19, 2022 by jenny

I’ve recently started playing the 30-Day Minimalism Game with my sister. I’ve been hearing a lot about people decluttering recently, think Marie Condo and  the cult of tidying up. Now I haven’t read the book myself, just the thought of buying another book for my overstuffed shelves sends shivers down my spine! However the idea of decluttering and keeping things which are useful or meaningful strikes a chord.

I know I need to start tidying and decluttering so loved the idea of the 30-Day Minimalism Game. Basically, first you find someone to buddy up with. Then pick a day to start. On the first day, each of you must get rid of one thing by midnight. On the second, two things. On the third, three items, and so on. You can sell, throw or donate to a charity shop. And you can declutter anything which needs it so I’m looking forward to going through the toys, clothes, books and craft supplies and basically everything in the house. I long for clear surfaces! If you’re interested you can find out more here.

Yesterday I noticed how I’ve been buying mini wooden pegs. I have packs and packs of them. I clearly bought them to craft with so finally made use of them with a fun little upcycle using the Sizzix Bigz Die – Heartfelt by Tim Holtz.

I cut my shapes from different shades of striped paper, gotta love Tiger Stores for their cool craft supplies!
