Win 1 of 3 new Colour Me Mindful adult colouring books

Earlier this year I reviewed three colouring books for adults from Anastasia Catris. The books were so popular I’m delighted to announce the publication of three more titles in the Colour Me Mindful series: ENCHANTED CREATURES, SEASONS and BUTTERFLIES.

Adult colouring books have burst to the top of the best selling lists and it’s easy to see why as they are an effective stress reducing aid for adults. They help you focus your mind, provide a creative outlet as well as a soothing mindful experience from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives.

These three books depict a breath-taking array of enchanted creatures, beautiful butterflies and scenery from all seasons. Each book features 64 pages of brand new original designs to keep calm and carry on colouring through Autumn.

Three new stress reducing colouring books for adults are published by Orion in paperback, priced £4.99 each.

  1. Perfect way to relax? Sitting in a big comfy armchair in my pjs and sewing with a gin and tonic… With something trashy in tv…

  2. The best times are when I’m with my hubby and daughter, spending time together… Out walking, watching a good movie, listening to dort playing piano?

  3. My perfect way to relax is to prepare everything for a nice hot candlelit bubble bath with essential oils, freshly laundered nightwear & bedding, then have a warm drink, and an hour or two on the sofa watching TV, before sitting up in bed to read for a while before snuggling up to sleep. I also use lavender oil on sleep-stones and/or a dab/spray n pillow and nightwear.

  4. A warm bath followed by a book of some description,All cosy in a warm bed with a hot drink by my side.

  5. I find swimming very relaxing so I do it a few times a week. A hot stones massage is my ultimate relaxing treat though.

  6. Normally with a glass of wine, chick flick and chocolate but minus wine at the moment as 7 months pregnant!

  7. There’s nothing better than snuggling up under a blanket with a hot cuppa, a good book and some choccies 🙂

  8. I love listening to music, it always helps me to relax ? I love these books too- I could colour them whilst listening to some music to relax after doing my homework!?

  9. Nice hot bubble bath, followed by a clean pair of pjs and snuggled on the sofa watching a film with a large glass of red wine.

  10. My job can be really stressful, so when I feel the need to relax and not think about anything else I do a jigsaw 🙂

  11. I love to relax by reading a new book by one of my favourite authors and the dog curled up beside me!

  12. As a teenage school boy I found the ups and downs in mood to be too fast too graph as hormones raged. I had read in a newspaper that hospitals in the UK were painted green because it had been found that this colour relaxed the patients. I thought it would be a great idea to stare at a piece of green paper in order to relax myself, but green cardboard from the stationery shop had no effect. Undeterred, I tried other colours and came upon one which did relax me. I then set about testing the colours of the rainbow in the stationery shop on other people that were stressed and found that everyone has a colour of cardboard that has a soporific affect. The Tension Sheet was born. I soon carried out a test on those with high blood pressure, and found that The Tension Sheet reduced the blood pressure to lower than normal figures in just minutes and recommend that a tension sheet is carried at all times, and that a chill-out room should be painted in the right colour in every tension sufferers home. It is certainly easier to stare at a correctly coloured piece of cardboard or wall for a few minutes than the interference with breathing patterns that most mediation involves. And it has better results. The Tension Sheet was also the first treatment I invented for mental illness and cured several homeless people with it in my school town. Both their own Doctors and local Clergy verified that they were cured. The mechanism for the cure is probably that the brain is relaxed by the Tension Sheet, and thus finds it easier to sleep. Sleep experts say that most mental illness is caused by lack of sleep. It would be wise to paint prison cells and hospital rooms in the various colours of the rainbow, the percentage painted each particular colour depending on that Tension Sheet colour ratio in the general population, in order to maximise relaxation and feelings of well-being…
