Fireman Sam was one of the first tv programmes my son was really interested in. It sparked his love of emergency vehicles and transport in general. I remember one year it felt like all he received was Fireman Sam toys and he was able to have many adventures with his very own Pontypandy!
He recently received the new Fireman Sam Diecast Vehicle Set from Character Options. The set contains Venus, Neptune and Jupiter and is aimed at children aged 3+.
He was quite excited to see this pack and immediately asked if these were to review – you can tell he is the child of a blogger!
As the weather has been so warm the vehicles have been perfect for taking outside to play with. In fact my son has been re-creating Pontypandy with the aid of some coloured chalk and the vehicles.
Chalk is a great way to create little worlds and it’s popular with both my children. This week they’ve been creating simple chalk roads which have gone over the patio, across planks of wood and into the tuff spot.
Both my 3 and 5 year olds have enjoyed playing with the vehicles. They are very realistic and instantly recognisable as belonging to the Fireman Sam range. I’ve heard my children completely immersed in role play with the vehicles. The toys seem quite hard wearing and hopefully we will be able to buy Fireman Sam, Elvis and the rest of the crew to go with the new die-cast range soon.
The Fireman Sam Diecast Vehicle Set is available from Amazon and all good toy shops.
