I have a fun little make to share with you today. I don’t know about you but my husband is forever putting dirty dishes in the dishwasher when in fact it’s clean and needs emptying. My children also love to help tidy up but needed a little visual help to understand if the dishwasher was clean or dirty.
This is such an easy project. I love crafting with Scrabble letters so I have hundreds of tiles to play with but you should be able to pick up a vintage Scrabble set from your local charity shop for a few pounds.

How to make a DIY Scrabble tile dishwasher magnet
Choose your Scrabble tiles so you can spell out the words CLEAN and DIRTY. I made a couple of these Scrabble tile dishwasher magnets and used Scrabble tiles from three different sets. If possible make sure the backs of your Scrabble tiles have flat backs so there is plenty of surface to stick to the magnet.
Cut a piece of the self-adhesive magnetic sheet slightly larger than your letters.
Remove the backing papers and carefully line up your letters in the right order.
Trim away any excess of the magnet with scissors or a Stanley knife and your magnet is ready to use. Now I just need my husband to read the sign and use it!
