The Go!Go!Go! Show

Last week the toddler and I were invited to a VIP performance of The Go!Go!Go! Show at The Empire Leicester Square with celebrities including Sara Cox with her baby Renee, Chloe Simms with daughter Madison, Michelle Heaton with her baby Faith, Javine Hylton with daughter Angel and both Nicola McLean and Danielle Brown with their families. It’s not often we get to spend any time together without Little Sis so we were both excited by the prospect of a trip on the tube, a show in the West End and the chance to mingle with some celebs.

The Go!Go!Go! Show was created by music industry leaders, Mike Stock from Stock Aitken Waterman and Steve Crosby, who conceived and recruited pop group Steps and wrote their mega hit 5, 6, 7, 8, so I knew we would be in for a treat. The show is fun-filled pop music entertainment for young children and their families.

The storyline of The Go!Go!Go! Show follows five best friends who wake up one morning to discover their socks have gone missing. They soon realise that the culprit is a mischievous, furry creature called The Fluffalope who is EATING their socks, as his diet consists of nothing else! An adventure then begins as the friends attempt to find The Fluffalope’s home. En route they encounter the permanently confused Mr. Baffled who helps them solve the mystery.

We really enjoyed the show, the toddler had a great view from his special booster seat and loved the songs, such as Wake Up Smiling, This Is The Life and The Get Along Song. At 26 months I thought he might be a bit young but he loved every second and quickly learned to join in with all the sock waving (socks provided!) and shouting. It’s definitely an energetic action show and I enjoyed singing along to all my favourite SAW hits from the 80s as we were waiting for the show to start!

The Go!Go!Go! Show opened at The Empire in London’s Leicester Square on 2nd June following rave reviews on a UK tour in 2011 and a recent residency at Alton Towers Resort in Staffordshire. To book tickets visit www.gogogo.tv.

Disclosure – we were given free tickets to the VIP performance
