Lalaloopsy Dolls review and giveaway

Posted on March 26, 2012May 16, 2013 by jenny

To be honest I hadn’t heard of the Lalaloopsy but when I heard it was perfect for any young girl, especially one interested in craft, fabric, sewing and friendship, I leaped at the chance to review it with my family.

If you haven’t heard of them before, Lalaloopsy are magical ragdolls who come to life when their last stitch is sewn. Each doll has their own individual personality created by the fabrics used to make them. They live in a colourful, whimsical world full of fun and surprises. Sew magical. Sew cute.

lalaloopsy

We really enjoyed watching Adventures in Lalaloopsy Land: The Search for Pillow and think it would make a wonderful gift for any young girl. In the film Peanut Big Top has a big surprise and everyone can’t wait to see what it is. But one of the gang is missing! It seems that Pillow Featherbed has sneaked off for a nap and is in danger of missing out on the surprise. The Lalaloopsy girls set off to find their friend but discover that everyone has their own ideas on the best way to search Lalaloopsy Land and it’s not until they work together that their plans start to work… The hunt for Pillow is on!

This brand new full-length feature Adventures in Lalaloopsy Land: The Search for Pillow, is available to own on DVD from the 26th March (RRP £15.99). And to celebrate this special launch, a limited edition of the DVD is also available as an exclusive toy-pack which includes a double-sided colouring poster and your very own Pillow Lalaloopsy Doll! RRP £15.99

I had a doll called ‘ Baby Lovely’. She had plastic head and limbs but a soft body. Her hair was really soft and she had closing eyes. Her body got so worn out that my mam knit a new cover. Loved her and my kids play with her now when they go to see Grandma.

I used to have a soft hippo called Henry the Hungry Hippo. I think he was supposed to be a pyjama case. My mum bought him for me when i was about 5 or 6. He came with me to university and was even around when i got married. But during a house move, my husband ‘lost’ him. I was devastated. I really wanted my son to have him. 🙁

My favourite childhood toy was a doll called Alice I got when I was 7, she had a soft body but plastic arms, legs and head. Her hair was painted on and her eyes closed. When I was about 15 she went missing and we turned the house upseide down looking for her. 10 years later my sister was moving house and my dad and husband rented a van and drove the 2 hrs to help her taking some boxes she had stored at my nanas when she went to Uni. She unpacked the boxes and exclaimed ‘OMG its Alice!!’ and there she was tucked in with some of her books.
My husband bought her home and she lives on top of my daughters wardrobe 🙂
