A tourist in our own city

Today we met my cousin and her family as she hadn’t yet met Edward. We had lunch in the cafe at the Mamas and Papas on Regent Street. The food is delicious, the location is perfect and it’s never too busy as not many people seem to know about it. Edward got lots of kisses and couples from his adoring great aunt and cousins, and pressies too, so he was very excited. After lunch we went for a walk around central London. Although we often pop into the West End we never seem to have time to relax and be tourists.

We made a special trip to Cath Kidston so I could get me hands on one of the new iPhone 4 covers. I bought the ‘London’ cover which features Big Ben, the London Eye and a red London bus on a light blue background. I absolutely love it and it fits perfectly.

We walked from Regent Street around China Town, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square, making sure we took lots of picture of us in front of all the landmarks. It felt good to be a tourist in our own city!

    I’m so envious you live near a CK shop, although . . . it’s probably safer that I don’t! x
