A few weeks ago we told you about Re-Cycle-Me. They believe in a world in which children and their parents become more aware of the amount of rubbish we are all producing. A world where children help to reduce this by recycling or re-use. We were sent the Re-Cycle-Me Games box. We love junk modelling and always seem to have a full recycling bin, which were perfect for turning cardboard tubes and bottles into something else. My daughter really enjoyed making the different games in the box, it kept her busy for over a week! With this XL Unicorn Playworld…

I’m sure we’re not the only family who have treated ourselves to some happy mail over the last few weeks. The imposed lockdown has been hard for everyone, especially children who overnight lost the fun and friendship they get at school. There are some lovely subscription boxes and we’ve tried a few new ones over the last month or two, mainly food ones! Kawaii Box recently offered us one of their super cute subscription boxes and I knew this would help cheer us all up. What is a Kawaii Box? Kawaii Box is a monthly subscription box filled with super…

One thing I’ve really missed over the last few months is a trip to the cinema. With cinemas closed we’ve been having the odd movie night. I love to lose myself in a good film, especially when the kids are in bed and I can watch uninterrupted. Last night I got the chance to watch Military Wives which was released just as we were going into lockdown so I never got the chance to watch it. It’s safe to say I absolutely loved the film. I belong to a choir myself and am a huge advocate of the benefits of…

Big Ideas for Little Thinkers is a brilliant book to explain the ‘why’ the ‘what’ and the ‘who’ of the most difficult questions to kids. From the author and illustrator team who bought you the hugely popular Young, Gifted and Black. Big Ideas for Young Thinkers What is justice? What is freedom? What is bias? And who gets to have big ideas? Studies show that children ask caregivers 300 questions a day during meals, trips to the market, and before bedtime.
