This year we have really enjoyed being a Peppa Pig Holiday Blogger. Both my children love Peppa and she plays a large part in our lives, as I’m sure she does in many other families. A few weeks ago we received our final Peppa Pig parcel of goodies and it was packed with lovely toys and products to see us through the holidays. I’ve taken Edward swimming once a week at our local pool since he was little which he really enjoys. The lessons are quite structured (sometimes too structured) but I’m just happy that he loves the water and is happy and confident in it. He dislikes putting his head under water or using armbands so we just concentrate on having lots of fun! We’ve always used Huggies Little Swimmers underneath his swim shorts and they’ve been brilliant and never let us down. Edward and I go swimming each week. I’m not sure if he enjoys it as much as I’d like him too and this may be our last term of swimming for a while. The new term started yesterday so off we went and were very surprised to find the teacher in the pool for once. I’m not sure who coined the phrase gramping but I love it! It sums up our holidays perfectly since the arrival of Edward last year. Apparently three quarters of families with young children intend to go on holiday this year with the grandparents in tow, according to a survey by netmums. We had our first three-generations holiday when Edward was a few months old. The extended family of us, my mum, my sister and my niece all headed to Cornwall for a week. We were recently asked if we would like to take a swimming course with Anne Hawley who is widely recognised as the pioneer and expert of infant swimming and has been in the profession since 1974. Her reputation and lifelong commitment to safely swimming infants has resulted in her distinct, innovative and unique method of swimming babies being copied all over the world.
