Although I wasn’t entirely sure about bringing back our Book Advent (but I’m glad we did) I knew our two Christmas elves would be making an appearance on December 1st. We have two elves, one for each child, who bring the children’s Advent calendars and stay around to make sure they are having fun during December. This is a family Christmas tradition which we started a few years ago.
In preparation for December 1st I found the Elf surveillance camera and sign, the two elves and started to plan some of the daily activities. Now I’m working it was essential to have some ideas to make sure I didn’t have to run downstairs before the kids woke up to move them!
We had loads of fun helping our two elves get up to mischief this time. I’m going to share some of our ideas in case they help you too!

Elf on the Shelf playing with the Advent calendar boxes

The Elf on the Shelf stuck in the tv was probably our favourite antic. We found a YouTube video which we could play for an hour – just remember to be around so you can delete the video from your YouTube history so the kids don’t see it!

Elf on the Shelf hiding in the children’s karate equipment
One day the Elf on the Shelf hid behind the fish tank and grafittied it!
Elf on the Shelf hiding in the Christmas tree
Elf on the Shelf delivering the Christmas letters from Father Christmas

Little Sis was upset that her brother got his packed lunch wrapped in Christmas paper so the Elves wrapped some of her cuddly toys to look like presents
Sometimes the Elf on the Shelf just had to hang around on the Christmas decorations when we were short of ideas
They even came away with us to a hotel!

I can’t believe our Elf on the Shelf antics are over for another year. I can’t wait to see what they get up to next.
