At the moment my daughter is a little Mini Me. As much as she has her own *big* personality she also loves to do what I do, especially around the house. This week she’s been reviewing the Casdon Little Cook Morphy Richards play set which she says is her “best toy ever” and playing kitchen.
The Casdon Little Cook Morphy Richards play set contains coffee maker and coffee pot, kettle, toaster along with plates, cups, cutlery and play food. Little Sis was quite happy to open the box and see what was inside. She took everything over to the table to play with it.
The coffee maker and coffee pot, kettle, toaster are all miniature versions of items we have in our kitchen so Little Sis had fun and knew exactly what to do. You can fill the coffee maker with water and watch it trickle through to the coffee pot and add water to the kettle for realistic play. This also aids understanding of cause and effect.
My children love water play so this was a huge bonus for them to be able to make ‘real’ cups of tea and coffee for mum and dad. The bread can be pushed into the toaster and pop out when they are ready and the kettle has a level gauge indicator. This shows that the toys have been well thought out and are great for realistic role play.
They also enjoyed preparing breakfast for us with the cups and saucers. There’s some play food included but there’s only one slice of bacon, one sausage and an egg,we thought there could have been a couple more of these.

I was looking at this set for Christmas just passed for Amelia, to go with her IKEA kitchen she got but was left undecided so we didn’t end up getting it.
After reading your review I think we’ll get it for her birthday in a few months as I think she’d really enjoy it. I agree with you that there should have been more play food with it though, at least one more set.
