Miniclara Doll and Ballerina Outfit Set review

Posted on June 4, 2014 by jenny

It’s probably no surprise that my 2 year old daughter loves her dolls. In her short little life she’s amassed quite a collection of dolls, vintage doll beds and of course doll quilts made by me!

It’s not often she’s sent toys but she was the lucky recipient of a Great Gismos Miniclara Doll and Ballerina Outfit Set, which is part of the Wonderland range from NICI, to review.

NICI Miniclara Doll

Miniclara Doll is a very sweet 30 cm plush doll, dressed in a leotard, ballet shoes, removable tutu, bag and Little Kitty.  She also received an additional outfit set consisting of tiara, tutu, leg warmers and wings. The colours are all pink, white or lilac, with pretty stitched detail, which immediately appealed to my daughter.

I’m not sure that my daughter knew what ballet was but she was very happy to receive the doll and she has come everywhere with us. The little outfit and accessories are really well made with velcro fastenings or elastic which means my daughter is able to dress and un-dress the doll herself. They have been having some great adventures together and it’s been a great excuse to introduce her to some clips of beautiful ballet performances on YouTube!

NICI Miniclara Doll

The NICI Miniclara Doll from Great Gismos is aimed at children aged 2+. The Miniclara Doll is priced at £25.99 and the outfit £14.99. There are a range of dolls including Minilotta and Minilina, all available with additional outfits.

I love that it is soft and cuddly. I was never a doll child as I hated the hardness

What a lovely doll. I had a ragdoll as a child and I adored her, there is something very comforting about a soft doll

They freak you out? Have you ever seen a Blythe doll? I have my very own who sits by my bed 🙂

It looks like an ideal first doll – very soft and squeezy. It’s a great idea to be able to change outfits too.

I like plush dolls, they might not be so easy to keep clean but they are so much more fun to play with
