One of the things I had forgotten about having a baby was how much they dislike being washed and changed and Little Sis is no different. She suffers from reflux, just like her Big Brother did, which means we get through plenty of vests and babygros each day. Being a winter baby she needs plenty of wrapping up when we venture out so I was really excited when I was offered a Nod Pod baby blanket to try.
Nod Pod baby blanket
We were sent a white Nod Pod which is a contemporary version of a baby blanket, designed to keep baby’s legs, toes, arms and heads covered. Think of it as a fleecy envelope which keeps your baby snuggled and warm! It can be used safely in car seats, pushchairs and baby carriers, as well as in a moses basket or cot.
We tried it out on Little Sis on one of our first trips out and it was very easy to use. We dressed her in her usual layers and popped her into the Nod Pod in her Maxi-Cosi car seat. The straps of the car seat simply strap over the baby and blanket without the need to thread them through holes.
We then transferred Little Sis into the Phil and Ted’s where she lay happily snuggled in her blanket. The blanket does not have ties which meant she could wriggle her arms free – she already knows what she wants!
The Nod Pod is very generous so she has plenty of room to wriggle around. The fleece is lovely and soft but more importantly thin, so doesn’t add any bulk, unlike some other blankets. We enjoy using it and will be getting lots of use out of over the next couple of months.
It is currently available in white, pink and blue for 0-6 months – a 6-12 month baby blanket will be launched soon!
