Day Zero

Day Zero – Month 10 (July)

Time for my monthly Day Zero roundup.

19. See a movie in 3D

We managed to see the final Harry Potter film last week whilst we were on holiday as my mum babysat for us. I really enjoyed the film but found myself shedding a few tears (I blame the pregnancy hormones).

36. Have tea at an exclusive London hotel

Thanks to my hubby’s bonus we had delicious afternoon tea at the newly restored St Pancras Hotel this weekend. We took Edward and he behaved beautifully. He enjoyed the sandwiches and cake as much as we did and the surroundings are amazing.

55. Successfully grow some vegetables

We scaled back our planting this year as after our attempts of the last few years we realised we just don’t have enough time to look after lots of veggies. This year we’ve concentrated on spinach, onions, spring onions and we even ate some for dinner. I don’t think either of us have naturally green fingers but I do love our little veg patch and it’ll be great for helping Edward learn where food comes from!

91. Make Edward a cot quilt cover

I really wanted to make Edward his own quilt cover so this was definitely a labour of love. I chose some of my favourite blue fabrics and made a patchwork cover. The weather has been too warm to put it on his bed but it looks lovely.
