Cath Kidston crafts days out mindfulness

Monday Happy List – week 90

We started off our week with a visit to KidZania as the children had an Inset Day. They loved the experience which you can read a little more about in this post. They are still talking about it which is always the sign of a great day out.

I have made so many things this last week that I really need a break. I know I love to be creative but I have had some insane deadlines lately. I’m always grateful if people want to work with me but I have to not take on so much. It feels like I’m always making something, photographing it or blogging about it and I need a little time to relax properly.

One of my blog goals for 2016 was to work with Cath Kidston. They’ve been one of my favourite brands since I discovered them. I’ve been lucky to work with them on a couple of campaigns for Mother’s Day and the launch of their quirky Gnorris the Gnome print. I was so excited to receive an invitation to their Autumn Winter press show. Somehow I squeezed it in between dropping my daughter off at nursery and picking her up again a couple of hours later and it didn’t disappoint.

My husband and I have just discovered the tv show Billions. It stars Damian Lewis as Bobby “Axe” Axelrod a hedge fund king, and Paul Giamatti as U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades. It’s set in New York in the present day and follows Rhoades trying to prove how Axe makes all his money. I loveDamian Lewis so I’m pretty happy to watch him in anything (except Wolf Hall which I gave up on). We’re binge watching this series.

My blog post on kids crafts to celebrate The Queen’s 90th birthday went a bit crazy this month. It’s had over 4500 views which is amazing for my little blog and I’m so pleased that people have been taking a look at some of the fun crafts we’ve made.

Such a great idea for a post- I think we’re all guilty of having Monday fever, so it’s great to cheer yourself up by looking back at the week. Im so jealous that you were invited to a Cath Kidston show. I love her designs!
