There are some lovely prints out for spring and one of my favourites is the new novelty Gnomes design from Cath Kidston. Apparently his name is Gnorris, and this cheeky chappie will be popping up here, there and everywhere on their social channels over the next couple of weeks. He takes centre stage on a collection of new products including practical bags, classic mugs, aprons and even a knitted tea cosy.
Gnorris the Gnome
Perched here and there amongst the flowers in British gardens, you’ll find the quintessential English garden gnomes. Of course Cath Kidston couldn’t resist including these cheeky chappies in a fun, novelty print that is brand new for the Spring/Summer ‘16 season. Meet Gnorris the Gnome, the latest character to join the Cath Kidston print family. To celebrate Easter and the launch of their latest campaign, they are inviting their lovely customers into Cath Kidston Stores to participate in Gnome Painting workshops over the next couple of weeks (find out more on the Cath Kidston website).
The lovely people at Cath Kidston kindly sent me my very own gnome crafting kit so that we could customise our own Gnorris. He’s a cute little ceramic fella, a couple of inches tall and we used porcelain pens to decorate them. My 4 year old named hers Baba.
My 6 year old called his Duh. I would have opted for something a little more grown up but each to their own. Painting the little porcelain figures was a great craft activity and kept them both occupied for a good half hour.
When our Gnorris the Gnomes were dry I baked them in the oven to set the colours. I can’t wait for some nicer weather so we can put them in the garden where I’m sure they will have lots of adventures.
As well as our own gnome crafting kit we also received a little cut out Gnorris so that we can share his adventures on our Twitter and Instagram channels. He’s already been out with us to help celebrate the end of term, search for #GnorrisTheGnome or #GnorrisBC to catch up on his latest adventures.
Don’t forget you can follow Gnorris’ official adventure on the Cath Kidston social media channels, where you will be able to chose where he goes to next. You can find out more about the Gnome Painting workshops in selected stores on the Cath Kidston website.
