Monday Happy Things

It’s been a beautifully quiet week. The children only went back to nursery and school on Tuesday and we all enjoyed a short week. After school clubs start this week so I’m glad we had a slow start to the year.

My 5 year old has discovered hot chocolate so we treated ourselves to a loaded hot chocolate in a new cafe on the high street.

I’ve spent the evenings working on my Liberty rainbow quilt. I’ve finished the top and backed it with a gorgeous Liberty print. This week I’ll be hand stitching the binding and hope to finish my first make of 2016.

I made some Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Cupcakes which were very good. Think melted caramel and chocolate, mmmm.

I’ve been playing with my Panasonic Lumix camera as I’m determined to learn more about it this year. I say that every year but it annoys me I rely on my iPhone when I have a really good camera.

The children have both wanted to craft a lot this week which has been fun. We’ve made paper plate Millennium Falcons, cardboard box worlds, robots and started on some Valentine crafts too. I can’t wait to show you some of them soon.
