It’s time for my favourite post of the week, my Monday happy things. We spent the last week at my mum’s which was lovely. The weather was great and we spent every day out exploring the beautiful countryside.
We visited Salisbury and had fun looking for the Barons’ Charter sculptures. The Barons’ Charter includes 25 life-sized decorated medieval baron sculptures displayed as an art trail across the city. The trail is open until 6th September and well worth a visit. They will then be auctioned to raise money for The Trussell Trust, the UK’s leading poverty charity. Our favourite sculpture was the Hello Kitty one!
We’ll gloss over the fact it was so cold I was drinking hot chocolate on some days. If you’re anywhere near Bratton I recommend visiting Pickleberry Coffee shop at Fitzroy Farm. I had the most amazing Spring Hot Chocolate with almond syrup.
Whilst in Salisbury I picked up a gorgeous little vintage gate style clothes airer for my daughter. She loves playing with her dolls and I thought this would be a fun addition to her toys. I bought it in the Barnardo’s Children’s store charity shop on Catherine Street which is a lovely shop specialising is children’s clothes and toys. My children enjoyed spending their pocket money there.
I returned home to a July Stocking Box subscription box which I won through their £1 raffle. There was no theme for this box but I loved everything in it, especially the Mini Pear & Leather Worry Beads from The English Worry Beads Co.
