Role playing fun with the Hetty Cleaning Trolley

Posted on May 10, 2015 by jenny

casdon Hetty Cleaning TrolleyRole play is really important to help children explore their imagination and develop social skills. My children love role playing, even though they probably aren’t even aware when they are doing it. The children have an indoor and outdoor kitchen and they can spend hours taking orders for food, preparing food, serving it, taking money and doing the washing up.

Part of the fun for them is copying what they see the grown ups doing so we were delighted to be sent the Hetty Cleaning Trolley from Casdon to review.

casdon Hetty Cleaning TrolleyBoth my children love to clean (much more than I do) so this is a really fun toy for them. It was easy to assemble the trolley and add the different parts – which included Hetty-branded mop with cloth, broom, brush, dust pan, polish bottle and waste bag.

Hetty is a recognisable brand, and my children seem really brand aware already, so I think this is a realistic toy version of items I use around the house. My 3 year old didn’t need any help figuring out what to do and was very happy to wheel her cart around the house, cleaning the floors and glass doors.

Hetty Cleaning Trolley from Casdon

Role playing fun with the Hetty Cleaning Trolley
• Realistic role play for exploring imagination and developing social skills
• Friendly character and bright colours for visual stimulation
• Play encourages the development of hand-to-eye co-ordination
• Variety of activities that promote the understanding of cause and effect
• Multiple parts and accessories develop problem solving and motor skills
• Different modes of play encourage exploration and discovery
• Moving trolley encourages mobility and a sense of independent play

This is a fun toy, doesn‘t take up too much space and is visually very appealing.  The only thing I’m not so keen on is the paper bag for rubbish which doesn’t stay in place. However this is easy to fix with a smaller bag.

The Hetty Cleaning Trolley is part of the Little Helper range from Casdon which includes a Dyson Ball Toy Vacuum Cleaner, Henry Toy Vacuum Cleaner and Ironing Set. They are all aimed at children aged 3+

Hetty cleaning trolley sounds like so much fun and learning for kids! We have a similar kit, but this one has so many more cute details!

I don’t have kids and am nowhere near ready in my life, but this is just adorable! I love how your kids love helping around the house

Looks great fun. Not sure why it’s pink though. Hope they’re not implying cleaning is woman’s work 😉

This is so cute! I think that is very important to teach kids through playing and this toy cleaning kit is really appropriate. 🙂
