Cath Kidston days out Knitting and Stitching Show

Monday happy things

Happy Monday everyone. I’m having trouble adjusting to the weather at the moment. The winter boots and coats are out and the heating is on! I feel the need for a shopping trip to pick up some more winter woolies. Luckily I have lots to make me smile:

  • I had a fantastic day at The Knitting and Stitching Show on Saturday. My husband kindly looked after the children all day and sent me cute pics of them all enjoying themselves. This meant I was able to enjoy myself, attending workshops, learning about progging and buying lots and lots of lovely new fabrics.

  • My new Cath Kidston tablecloth. We finally replaced our old one which you may remember appears frequently as my photo backdrop. It lasted about 7 years but too many paint spills took their toll and we bought the Cath Kidston Garden Birds oilcloth to cover the dining room table. The children love spotting the birds although my astute 4 year old keeps asking where the tree is …
  • I bought a ticket to Blogtacular. I’m not sure I should have, I don’t know anyone else who is going, but I’m hoping it will help me re-focus my blog and inspire me.
  • A morning spent hunting the Gruffalo’s Child at Wendover Woods. As part of the 10th anniversary of The Gruffalo’s Child the Forestry Commission are running self-led activity trails. We built dens, looked for pinecones and leaves and enjoyed an al fresco lunch.
  • Gruffalo Child's Trail - the gingerbread house
  • Spending time with my 2 year old now her brother is busy at school. We’re managing to fill our days with baking, crafting, trips to the library and Dinky Dancer sessions.
