Crafty Halloween pumpkins

We still have a plethora of toilet rolls in our recycling drawer so I thought it was about time we used them. Halloween is fast approaching so what better than a Halloween pumpkin. Yes, it is possible!

First of all my 3 year old painted a couple of toilet rolls with orange paint.

We left them to dry and I cut out leaves from coloured paper. We used our fab Ralph the Dog to stick the leaves to the tube. Ralph is the new fun Scotch Magic Tape Dispenser Dog from Scotch 3M. My son loves using sticky tape and this is a great way for him to use it without the worry of him using scissors. It’s also rather cute.

When the paint was dry I drew a face on the tube with a permanent marker whilst the toddler added some googly eyes (specially bought from our latest trip to Hobbycraft). We found our previous googly eyes needed gluing and constantly fell off so fingers crossed these sticky ones are an improvement. The toddler loves his pumpkins, although I can’t help thinking of carrots when I see them!

I haven’t started anything for Halloween yet but have a few ideas. It has come around way too fast and only 100 days to Christmas too x

Adorable! And really they could be apples as well, or painted any color for the fruit of your choice. Thanks for sharing on craft schooling Sunday!
