Yoomi bottle and warmer in one

We were recently asked to try the Yoomi bottle and warmer in one. Edward is now down to one bottle of milk before bed so we were anxious to try it and see if it would be useful for the Second Baby who arrives in a couple of weeks. Yoomi claims to warm baby’s feed to the natural temperature of breast milk at the touch of a button – in just 60 seconds.

Our first impression was that the packaging was bright and cheerful, just what you’d expect from a high end product. The instructions sounded complicated but really weren’t! Simply place the warmer in a pan of water (or steam steriliser) and boil for 25 minutes. Once charged, your warmer stays charged and is ready to use whenever you need it.

When you are ready to use, fill your bottle with breast milk or pre-mixed formula. Assemble your bottle, press the orange button, wait 60 seconds and feed away.

What we liked:

• the packaging
• the look and feel of the bottle
• easy to use if planning ahead, ie we feed Edward at the same time every evening so it’s simple to heat the warmer and use at home
• warmer fits ontop of bottle so no need to carry any extra stuff
• can’t overheat the milk

What we didn’t like

• need to allow the warmer to cool down for 75 minutes before use
• the bottle is quite heavy with the warming mechanism
• can only be used with a steam steriliser, not a microwave steriliser

Essential facts:

• BPA free
• easy to use if combining breast and bottle feeding
• doesn’t need to be plugged in or use batteries

This is a great bottle warmer if you’re organised! It looks great and is simple to use when you’ve used it a couple of times. I look forward to trying it in a couple of weeks with our new baby and seeing how easy it is to use with more frequent feeds.
