What’s in my fridge?

Posted on April 16, 2011July 1, 2025 by jenny

So I’ve been tagged by the lovely Clare to reveal what’s in my fridge. This meme was started by Sally who wondered if the contents of her fridge (or lack thereof) meant she was a bad mother.

I’m happy to say we have a rather full fridge which is just the way I like it 🙂

Most importantly there are lots of drinks – beer brought back from our recent trip to Bruges, milk, orange juice, apple juice, orange squash and strawberry milkshake.

The second most important things are jars of sauces as no meal is complete without an accompanying sauce. We have chutneys, mustard, piccallili, onion marmalade, sweet chilli sauce, horseradish sauce as well as jars of olives, capers and peppercorns.

Edward usually has his own shelf. I always keep a few shop bought meals for him as he doesn’t eat much of the food I lovingly prepare for him (!). He also loves fruit pots, yoghurts and jellies so we always have plenty around.

We always have eggs, butter and cheese. We’ve planned ahead and have all the necessary ingredients for a cooked breakfast on Monday morning!

At the moment we have two little bottles of champagne thanks to the lovely people at Innocent who recently sent us a rather lovely hamper of goodies.

And finally there are some left over Christmas chocs and some chocolate from Hotel Chocolat I bought in case of an emergency.

Can you also spot my little helper hoping that a treat will drop from the open door?

I’m going to tag New Mum Online and some new online friends:

Thanks for the tag! I really, really REALLY am not looking forward to sharing the state of my fridge. May have to do a big shop first..

Your fridge looks WAY healthier than mine … might have to nip to tescos before I do it 😉

Oh, I am so going to have to tidy my fridge before I take a picture of it! Yours is so neat and organised [hangs head in shame]…

    Oooh my first tag! Thanks.

It will have to wait until I am back from holiday I’m afraid.
