Clean washing

Who would have thought a 6-week old could make so much mess? In a typical day Edward seems to go through at least one clothes change, 8 muslins, 3 bibs and a mattress fitted sheet. We also learnt today that certain brands of bib melt in the tumble drier. Oops.

Life has calmed down enough for us to think about knitting something in the beautiful Natural Nursery Knits that we picked up in our favourite shop in Ryde a few weeks ago. The book contains patterns for some beautiful projects including an initialled flannel, bird mobile, fairisle papoose, booties and other cute ideas. We decided to start with the initialled flannel and spent the morning looking for some Rowan wool without success. So we have ended up with some other wool in a lovely plum colour, I’m not sure that it is particularly boyish but it’s nice!
