Monday Happy List

Monday Happy List {Week 311}

RHS Wisley with kids

I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 311}

I hope you have noticed I have a new blog header from Kate Marsden at Made by Mrs M. I commissioned a design from her earlier this year and loved it so much she tweaked it for my blog and socials. The colour is just perfect and it’s lovely to have a little freshen up.

With the kids back at school I’m finding it difficult to find much time for crafting. I’m still stitching my Summer Craftpod embroidery. The weather has turned so cold that it feels a little odd stitching the summer flowers so I’m not sure whether to carry on or put it away until next summer.

On Saturday we went to RHS Wisley for the day. It was so lovely to visit somewhere new and the kids enjoyed the outdoor play area. It was a huge place to explore and we all clocked up many, many steps! I was surprised how much the children enjoyed all the different plants and flowers but they both kept coming up with ideas on what we could do in our own garden!

We started off the week with a delicious lunch at The White Bear in Ruislip to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary Our 12th wedding anniversary was silk but I couldn’t find anything I wanted to buy to commemorate the anniversary. My husband bought me a gorgeous Tatty Devine necklace, a gingerbread man necklace from the Wondertales collection.

I’ve started my crafting for Halloween and enjoyed a few hours with my Cricut Maker over the weekend. I think Halloween will be different this year but we can still have fun. I’ve been busy making treat bags for the children and we’ve been planning how to decorate. I think we’ll be placing some pumpkins in our front window as I’ve read that lots of people will be doing this so kids can look out for pumpkins, similar to the rainbows in windows earlier this year.

    Happy 12th Wedding anniversary. Sounds like a nice way to celebrate, something as simple as a meal seems like a really big deal these days.

    We are making pumpkins for our window as well. I think it is such a lovely idea x

    Happy 12th wedding anniversary! RHS Wisley sounds like a lovely place to explore as a family and a great way to get out for some fresh air. We will be making pumpkins too and I am going to make a spooky tea and a little treat bucket each for the kids as we wont be able to go to any parties or anything this year.

    I didn’t realise that RHS Wisley had an outdoor play area. I’ve been wanting to go but wasn’t sure how much the kids would enjoy it. Glad you mentioned that!!!

    Happy anniversary to you and your hubbie, 12 years is amazing. I think Halloween is going to be so different for people but it’s nice to be able to do things at home with the kids x
