One can enjoy the adrenalin rush during water sports and water rafting. Children can get crafty at a top museum or learn to make ice cream. Families can explore Tuscany’s mountains together or enjoy swimming in the coastal areas. When it comes to learning, there are loads and loads of museums that display Renaissance art, architecture, and history with touchscreen gadgets, superb multimedia displays, and audio guides. Stroll through the vineyards
Explore the vineyards with your children but make sure that the tour guide uses child-friendly lingo. The kids love vineyards as there is lots of space for them to run about. Chianti vineyards are very popular with families and are indeed manageable for little legs. The historic and imposing structure of the magnificent Brolio Castle is sure to capture the imagination of children.

Pinocchio Park
Most of us are not aware that a Tuscan writer called Carlo Lorenzini created Pinocchio. The renowned artist took his surname from a small lovely village, Collodi that lies in the Valdinievole area, not far from Lucca. Here, you will find a thematic park dedicated to Pinocchio and. Watch your children get thrilled with the buildings and sculptures, art exhibitions and illustrations. They can participate in puppet-making workshops and explore the very Italian cultural and natural park.

Parco Avventura Il Gigante
One good way to keep your kids excited and in a good mood while on holiday is to combine regular sightseeing with some adventurous activities. Take them to Parco Avventura Il Gigante north of Florence one afternoon for monkeying around. Watch them climb through the trees at those high ropes. The younger can take the low-level route with a tunnel and a mini zip-line. The older ones can take the more demanding courses with higher levels of difficulty. Even you can join in the fun!

Pistoia Zoo
Pistoia Zoo is located in the hills near the city of Pistoia. It is a private zoological garden which is undoubtedly one of the most popular zoos in Tuscany. Covering an area of 7 hectares, the zoo boasts of about 400 animals of 100 different species. Cooperated with some Italian Universities, the zoo is also involved with relevant research projects that work on the preservation of the animals in the wild.

Get that adrenaline rolling while on four wheels! Or how about getting that adrenaline rushing while on four wheels?  Everyone can join in the fun on the two-seaters go-karts. One can start racing around the circuit, and it is a great fun-filled activity for the friends and families, who can go for a competitive run on this internationally known track. There are hundreds of twists and turns that stop at the neat little towns.

Segway Tours
Whiz around Tuscany with your family and it sure is one of the most exciting times for children, as they change their mode of transport. Walking can be boring and be tiring for them, so they are going to love the Segway tours. Fly around the towns, and it is indeed much more fun. You can see Uffizi Square and Repubblica Square, Duomo Square, Giotto’s Bell Tower within a short time in Florence! However, this activity is more suitable if your children are a bit older.

Dolphins in Viareggio
It is a refreshing break for families to look at the dolphins in the Lucca area. A big school of dolphins lives in the Versilia waters and the area is part of protected reserve known as the Pelagos Sanctuary. Regional administration of Tuscany has founded the Tuscan Observatory of Cetaceans and works towards safeguard of marine mammals.

    Tuscany is beautiful and there’s so much to see and do not only for the kids, but for the adults too. I’ve never been on a Segway tour, is it easy to control? That would be so much fun and whizzing around on the go kart would definitely get the adrenaline going.
