Halloween x-ray hand print craft

Halloween x-ray hand print craft

Can I admit that we’re coming to the end of the A-Z Play at Home blog series organised by Teach Me Mommy and I’m finding the last few letters quite hard?! This weeks’ letter is the letter X and I’ve been finding it difficult to think of any thing beginning with the letter x around the home. So I’ve cheated a little bit!

With Halloween coming up at the end of the month my children have been going crazy for all things Halloween. I tapped into their enthusiasm with our fun craft for Halloween – a ghostly x-ray hand print craft! This is a fun Halloween STEM craft for kids – let them learn about bones and all the wonderful things that make our bodies work.

Supplies to make Halloween x-ray hand print craft

Black paper

White paint

Q tips/cotton buds

PVA Glue

How to make Halloween x-ray hand print craft

The first step was for my daughter to paint her own hand using a sponge and white paint.

When she had completely covered her hand she pressed it down on to a sheet of black paper. She did this with both hands.

We set the paper aside to dry. When it was dry we squeezed PVA glue along each finger and placed a Q tip on each one to create her skeleton.

The glue didn’t take long to dry and she was left with her own x-ray hand print – a great Halloween STEM craft for curious kids.
