Monday Happy Things {Week 158}

Happy Monday everyone. Welcome to another week at the gingerbread house blog. I’m feeling super organised and ready for a new week. It’s time for my weekly post – Monday Happy Things.

Monday Happy Things {Week 158}

We had a pretty quiet week and weekend. A lot of our after school activities were cancelled due to illness which meant lots of time relaxing at home and plenty of time to craft. Our crafting was inspired by the season and we made autumn leaves sun catchers, conker caterpillars and lavender wands.

We’ve been boarding the loft which isn’t very exciting but so necessary. Our house has very little storage so a lot of things get put up in the loft but it’s hard accessing things when needed. We’ve now boarded about half of the loft space and put a lot of things in boxes. It should make life much easier when we need to get decorations out, and we found quite a few boxes of toys which the children have grown out of.

We love all things unicorn so I couldn’t resist treating myself to a new mug at Asda. Isn’t it just too cute?!

We made quite a few videos over the weekend for our YouTube channel. I’m trying to catch up with toy reviews and everything so I can enjoy half term. I’m so happy that there are only 2 more weeks of spelling tests and packed lunches! I’d much rather be having some family adventures than be stuck in our weekly routine. The kids were sent a huge box of treats from BEAR so they made a little thank you video. It was so nice to receive something which made them so happy – and they were all healthy treats too!

Not so healthy were the Sylvanian Families cupcakes! Both my children love their Sylvanian toys and sometimes toys creep over to our crafting too. These were just simple vanilla cupcakes with Sylvanian characters printed onto rice paper. We made some fun Sylvanian Families story stones/painted rocks too – I think you can see we’ve been enjoying our crafting recently.

    Those cupcakes look amazing. I was too old when Sylvanian Families became popular, so it is so good to see them back. It sounds like you had a fab and busy week too x
