Little bookworms are going to love the new partnership between BEAR Nibbles and Puffin Books! BEAR & Puffin’s Big Book Club is an online hub packed full of resources and book related activities to keep little ones busy. A new ‘Book of the Month’ is launched every month, these include favourite childhood classics as well as new releases. Create a reading den, stock up on your favourite BEAR Alphabites and spend the perfect afternoon reading a good book. Let us show you how we did it!

Creating the perfect reading den

The blanket den under the dining room table has been firmly confined to my childhood memories. My lucky children are not short of den building materials. When they wanted to establish their own Book Club at home, they got out their favourite teepee. This is the perfect size for the two of them and their favourite cuddle toys. They added a cosy rug, BEAR & Puffin Big Book Club cushion and Reading Cave sign to keep any grown-ups out.

My 5 year old put on her favourite snuggly pyjamas to wear in their reading cave and they both wore their BEAR reading ears and Big Book Club badges, to show they were members of this exclusive club.

Start reading

We were sent some of the first ‘Books of the Month’, which have been carefully selected for little cubs of all ages and include both picture and story books. We received Dogger by Shirley Hughes, Brown Bear Brown Bear, What do you care? by Bill Martin, Jr., Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul by Jeff Kinney and The Borrowers by Mary Norton. It was lovely to see some of our favourites, as well as be introduced to new books.

The reading cave – woop. It looks like a great club, with more than a few things to do so it’s not just reading a book a month! x

The Reading cave looks amazing, I used to love building caves and forts when I was young and read in them!

I love Bear products, and love books, so I am delighted to see this. My son loves both too, so this is definietly something I am going to have to look in to. Love your reading cave. I could easily get comfy in their myself.

I love the sound of this campaign, it would be so lovely for parents to get on board as it really encourages young ones to read more.
